This is a small screenshot of my game engine loading a Half-Life 2 model, after
several conversions (.MDL->.SMD->.MS32->.GEM for models, .VTF->.TGA for textures)
Note: GEM is my custom 3D model file format (still in development), which stands for GhostEngine Mesh/Model
