Well, this didn't half take forever...
Monkey Duck is a web service designed for the promotion of music. It's the better features of Myspace, LastFM, iTunes and MP3.com before it went wierd. Bands can sign up, upload thier songs and get some publicity, eventually being able to contact Monkey Duck directly for merchandising and cd deals. Users will be able to sign up, search for new bands, and create online playlists out of the site's contents, downloading and buying music directly. Eventually, venues will be able to sign up, scout out new talent, and arrange promotions over the site.
It's being set up by my good buddy Grant, who called me up a month or two ago asking for a logo for his site. After delivering him a fairly decent logo (it's the one on the side of the van in this image), I volunteered to make some promotional work for his site before it opens this summer. I also inadvertedly created the new mascot characters for the site, and have become the (semi-official) creative director (art monkey) for the site
To suit the summer theme, Quack and Simian have gone camping - well, camping at the Megafest 2006 Festival. Thanks to Shida for help with the shadingy goodness, and thanks to everyone who offered advice and/or praise whilst I was making this

Bands wouldnt have the time for that sort of thing unless they were unsigned, and anyway they do that with iTunes.
