House of the Silew

It was a dark, stormy afternoon the day that I got the letter. "What letter?", you may ask. THE letter, I say. It was THE letter that would almost lead me to my doom. I was walking out with my umbrella to check the mail, nearly being killed by the wind. I could feel a warm, evil aura from the mail box. As I pulled the letter out, not expecting the surprise of who it was sent to.

Kaori Akagi
5637 Willow Drive
Somewhere, Overtherainbow 6578

"By George, that's me! I never get a letter!", I thought to myself as I walked in. I sat down at the kitchen table, trying to pry the envelope open. As it opened, I recieved a paper cut. There was something odd, however. When I read the message, it said something strange.

666 Corner Cove.
I'll be waiting for you.

Being as dumb as I am, I squealed in excitement,"It's a party! I wonder who's party...I'll go anyway." I wrote the adress on my hand and left the letter there. Also noticing my papercut, I got a bandaid and tended to the small wound. Soon after, I got in my beat-up, really crappy, used car and drove to the designated adress.

As I pulled up the curvey driveway, my eyes arrived on the tall, scary mansion. Ignoring the fact of how scary it was, I got out of the car while chanting the word 'party' quietly to myself. A name was written on a signboard before the door. "Silew", it said. "Sounds like a nice family." I oppened the door slowly as it creaked, and poked my head in. It was dark to the point that you couldn't see anything. I got lucky enough to see a candle and a match on a small table beside me. I lit the candle and looked around.

The main room was rather large, with a wooden floor. A red carpet sat under a worn, brown couch. Next to the couch was a large lamp. A piano also rested on the floors of the house next to a seemingly valuable painting on the wall. Despite size, it was rather baron with dust and cobwebs. "Hello? Is anyone home?" I kept looking around untill my eyes focused on a staircase that twirled up to a second and third story.

Walking into the house, the door slammed behind me. Somehow, however, I wasn't phased by it. I felt a strong force calling me up the stairs. I places a foot on the creaky stairs, climbing up. A different pitched creak was made with my every step. I climbed and climbed until I reached the third story. There, I found myself standing in a black hallway. Then, lights began to come on without the flip of a switch. "Odd," I said in a whispering voice,"I wonder who turned on those lights." I stepped forward down the hall untill I came to a lone room at the end. Twisting the nob, I stepped into the darkness.

"Hello?" I stood, frozen. Maybe this WASN'T a party...Maybe I should have stayed home. A light suddenly clicked on as I began to wish I was at home doing nothing as usual. In the center of the room was a single chair facing towards a window at the back. Someone was in the chair. Before I could turn around, the chair swerved to where it was facing me. I tried to scream as I saw what was there, but no voice came out. I stood and gawked at a girl. She had poorly groomed, brown hair. Her body was thin and dressed in a frilly, white dress. You could see her veins through her pale skin, and she appeared to be hanging up a pink razor phone. "Hello, Kaori," an annoying squeak was let out of her mouth,"I've been waiting."

"How...do you know me? Why am I here?"

"I need a more subtle human host, and you seem right."

She stood up and walked towards me slowly. It seemed that she had trouble, since her steps were lagged. I took this opportunity to bust the door behind me down and run for the staircase. As I approached, I stepped off to realize that there was no staircase anymore.I grabbed the ledge just in time. However, the girl was quickly getting closer. As she approached me, I could only watch in fear. I had to do it. I'd rather die than end up like that---I let go and crashed to the ground.

For a second, I didn't think I would survive the two story drop. However, I got up slowly and looked upward. I couldn't tell if she was still there or not. Quickly, I turned around, planning to ruch for the door. To my surprise, she was right behind me. I couldn't help but scream as her left eyeball fell out.

"Wh-who are you?"

"I am the Silew, a phantom that's been living in this mansion since the early colonies of America. Over the years, I've changed hosts by bringing people here and eating their souls."

I backed up a bit, hitting myself on the piano. The keys rattled a bit Silew disappeared. I turned again to see her now playing an eerie tune on the piano. I made a dash for the door before she stood between me and freedom once again.

"There is no escape!"

Just when I thought it was over, the door slammed open, smashing Wiles against the wall. "Kaori, lets get some doughnuts." Standing at the door was none other than...I have no idea. It was some random guy that knew my name. You know how horror movies are. Starring at Seliw's dead body and then the man, I decided that I'd like some doughnuts. "..Hokai!"

We pranced off to the doughnut shop, never to see the phantom again. However, something still worries me. The man left me to pay for the doughnuts. How flippin' rude of him.

The end.

I envy how you can write stuff and not sound repeatful or anything. That always happens to me. Or I forget how to discribe. e__e;
