Demon children....?

I think I'll start off by saying PLEASE FULL VIEW! It is very detailed and I'd hate for you to miss anything. And it's een worth it to full view this time, because the scanner was nice and didn't maul it like it normally would've!

Yeah.... these two were kinda random. They don't have names yet, either (I had thought of the perfect names, but forgot what they were just the next morning.). They're supposed to be short-term characters in Sakura Tree. Their thing is that they're the culmination of all the monsters that were trapped in each of those Temple Dolls (at the bottom of the picture.) In Sakura Tree, Temple dolls are put out to guard sacred places from monsters. They're put in a holder near a torch or candle, and the heat from the flame activates the wood's incense-like smell. The smell supposedly imprisons evil spirits if they try to get into the temple. So when the smell runs out, that means the doll is full and is due for a purification before they can replace it. I'm not going to go into where these two overstuffed dolls were found, because it might spoil something....

The boy is older and more insane-berserky-killeverything type. The girl is also insane, but she has more brains than her brother so she does most of the thinking (if any thinking is ever done, that is). The reason they wear locks on their wrists and ankles is so Matsuro can keep some degree of control over them, and if the locks come off, the little wierdos will split apart into all the separate spirits that make them up.

This was sitting half-finished in my room for a LONG time.... so much time passed in between the coloring of the girl and the boy that I had forgotten which colors I had used for the girl (whom I had colored first). Anyway, I ended up being really proud of this. I haven't done colored pencils in a while.
