Jesse took a few deep breaths. This was it. The calm before the storm. Ragnarök was just around the corner.

Or so he thought at least.

He took a step forward and knocked on the door to the room Wren was staying in while he was in the Demon realm.
%u201CEnter.%u201D The voice inside said.
Jesse inhaled deeply before opening the door and entering.
He closed the door behind him. Wren was sitting in the window, looking out over the city. Jesse smiled, his friend looked pretty peaceful at least. Wren turned to face Jess, he smiled slightly.
%u201CWhat can I do for ya, Jess?%u201D His smile made Jesse feel even worse about himself.
%u201CI wanted to talk to you Wren.%u201D He clenched his fists and looked down on to the floor. %u201CIt%u2019s%u2026 rather important%u2026%u201D
Wren stood up and walked over to Jess, he didn%u2019t really like the sound of it. %u201C%u2026go ahead.%u201D
%u201CI%u2026%u201D He closed his eyes waiting for the blow. %u201CI was the one who brought her back.%u201D
Wren%u2019s eyes widened %u201C%u2026what%u2026?%u201D
%u201CI wanted her back! I recreated her! You need her Wren! I did it for you!%u201D He screamed.
%u201CH-how could you have done that?! You knew my promise to her!%u201D He lashed out at Jesse who barely managed to dodge him.
%u201CBecause I can%u2019t stand it any longer! I can%u2019t stand how you torture yourself, day in and day out!%u201D
%u201CHow the hell did you do it? Where did you acquire the power to reconstruct matter? The Astral Planes?%u201D
%u201CNo. From you.%u201D He took a deep breath. %u201CDon%u2019t you remember Wren? You made me%u2026%u201D
%u201CI did what%u2026?%u201D Wren%u2019s eyes met Jesse%u2019s searching for something, grasping for the words that came out of Jesse%u2019s mouth. %u201CI remember now%u2026 You were the first one I made%u2026 You lied to me again%u2026%u201D He said in disappointment.
%u201CI didn%u2019t lie! I just%u2026 didn%u2019t tell you all!%u201D
%u201CYou lied to me! I hate lies!!%u201D Wren grabbed Jesse by his shoulders and slammed him in to the wall. The very rocks shifting place slightly from the impact.
%u201CHow do you think I feel huh?! When you went to sleep I was left all alone! All alone!! I watched the birth and decay of thousands of galaxies all by myself! You tell me that I lie, that everyone lies to you. But you%u2019re the biggest liar yourself! You promised me you would never leave my side! You promised me that!!%u201D He cried. %u201CYou went to sleep, but I was left alone%u2026 I wanted to sleep as well but I couldn%u2019t. I took the shape of so many beings trying to find peace. You can%u2019t imagine how happy I was to finally have found you, to see that you had decided to wake up again.%u201D
Wren sighed and let Jesse go. He turned away from him and walked over to the window.
%u201CAll I ever wanted was to see you happy. I wanted to tell you who I was, but%u2026 it would have ruined everything. I%u2019m sorry about the whole Fate business and everything though%u2026%u201D
%u201CYou already apologized for that you know. God%u2026 everything I do turns to crap. %u2026no offense.%u201D
%u201CNone taken%u2026%u201D Jesse rubbed his throat slightly.
%u201CShe%u2026 remembers. Doesn%u2019t she?%u201D
%u201CYes she does%u2026%u201D he mumbled.
%u201CDammit!! How could she have let me do such a thing to her?! I can never face her again%u2026%u201D Wren held his head in his hands.
%u201CWell maybe you shouldn%u2019t have abused her from the start%u2026%u201D Jesse mumbled. %u201CYou%u2019re a pretty selfish person sometimes Wren. You often act before thinking of the consequences. No wonder you manage to hurt so many.%u201D

%u201CYou should go talk to Dragon. You guys are the same%u2026 well, almost.%u201D Jesse walked over to Wren and hugged him from behind. %u201CI want my Wren back again. I want to see your smile again.%u201D

%u201CYou%u2019ll learn to live with it. It%u2019s not like you have a choice.%u201D Jory said, he was sitting on the high wall that surrounded the demon city.
%u201CI didn%u2019t come here to hear you stating the obvious.%u201D Wren grunted.
Jory sighed. %u201CLook, it%u2019s not like you%u2019ve tried very hard to get along with people around here lately. Everything comes back and bites you in the ass, eventually. Believe me I know. Of all the stuff I ever did, you were definitely the worst.%u201D
%u201CThat%u2019s because you were a fucking asshole.%u201D
%u201CAnd you are not? Take a good look in the mirror Wren. You even blew up my fucking planet.%u201D

%u201CThat%u2019s not the point.%u201D He turned to face Wren. %u201CPersonally I think that for once Sun is acting like she should around you. She should hate you, she should be angry at you. She should want to see your head posted on the castle wall!%u201D

%u201CWhat have you ever done to deserve her love? Sure you can be nice to her occasionally but really Wren%u2026 seriously. You are just as clueless as I was.%u201D
%u201CI saved that girls life more times that I can freaking count! I gave her everything I had!%u201D He growled.
%u201CLike hell you did! You clung on to her like a parasite. She had nowhere to go but to you! And when she wanted to stand on her own you clasped on to her even harder. You were so desperate to keep her that you forgot everything else!%u201D Jory poked Wren in the chest. %u201CWhatever horrors you have done in your life Wren you deserve it! And if you fail to see that and change for the better, then you are the saddest creature I ever had the misery to lay my eyes on.%u201D

%u201DYou%u2019re as stupid as her%u2026%u201D Jesse sighed and bent down to pick up Jory%u2019s battered and abused body. %u201CI%u2019m surrounded by people who have a death wish.%u201D

%u201CWhat do you want, asswanker?%u201D Sunnie looked up at Wren who was standing next to her bed.
%u201CDo you really hate me so? Even though you remember?%u201D He asked, looking away from her.
Sunnie%u2019s eyes widened slightly and she bit her lower lip. How%u2019d he find out? Of course, it must have been Jess. Damn him.
%u201CDo you?%u201D He asked again.
%u201CW-well%u2026 it%u2019s not like you%u2019ve been doing all good stuff since I died you know. I mean, what%u2019s wrong with you Wren? You%u2019ve turned in to some psychotic freak.%u201D
%u201CBecause you died on me!%u201D He turned around, grabbing her shoulders tightly and pressed her down on to the bed.
%u201COw! You%u2019re hurting me! Lemme go!%u201D she objected, but he didn%u2019t listen to her.
%u201CBecause I needed%u2026 I need you.%u201D His eyes wandering over her face, her body.
Wren leaned down slightly burrowing his face against her neck, smelling her skin. %u201CI need you%u2026!%u201D His mouth opened slightly, the sharp fangs cut her skin as his left hand clutched on to the nightgown she was wearing, slowly tearing it apart.
%u201CN-no%u2026 Wren.%u201D She tried to move, but he had effectively pinned her down to the bed.
Wren covered her mouth with his hand, preventing her from screaming. He looked in to her eyes, they were full of fear. %u201CDon%u2019t be afraid my darling.%u201D He said, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. Wren hesitated for a second, before he tore off the last of Sunnie%u2019s nightgown.

%u201CDaddy%u2026 What are you thinking of?%u201D Shamoe tugged Jesse%u2019s cape slightly.
Jesse looked down her and sighed. %u201CNothing you should worry about dear.%u201D He patted her head affectionately. %u201C%u2026just the rest of the universe%u2026%u201D
%u201COh%u2026 You sound sad.%u201D
He smiled. %u201CNo hiding from you eh? Hey, have you checked on Sun? I%u2019m sure she would be happy to see you. You two get along well together.%u201D
Shamoe smiled. %u201CShe%u2019s funny!%u201D then her smile faded. %u201CI went to her room. But the door was locked. I-I could feel a lot of pain from inside%u2026 and a lot of sadness%u2026%u201D
Jesse looked up towards the castle. %u201CShamoe, go home to mom. I%u2019ll check up on her, ok?%u201D
%u201CAlrighty.%u201D

Jesse ran up the stairs to the tower where Sunnie was resting. He saw the door was open and burst inside. As he looked around he saw nothing at first. Then he noticed some movement behind the door. He got closer and saw Sunnie sitting in the corner crying. She had the covers wrapped around her body, there were some bloodstains on them as well.
%u201CSunnie%u2026%u201D He kneeled down next to her but she pulled back. %u201CI%u2019m so sorry.%u201D
Sunnie sobbed. %u201CWh-why did he%u2026?%u201D She slumped forward, throwing her arms around Jesse. %u201CWhy?!%u201D She cried.
%u201CI%u2026 I don%u2019t know%u2026%u201D Jesse held Sunnie tight as she cried.

%u201CI%u2019ll get it.%u201D Sita got up from her chair and opened the door. Outside was Jesse and Sunnie, he was carrying her in his arms. She still had the covers wrapped around her. %u201CJess%u2026 what happened?%u201D
%u201CIt%u2019s a long story%u2026%u201D He sighed and entered.

%u201CThere, she%u2019s resting now%u2026 again.%u201D Jesse closed the door to the guestroom behind him. %u201CThanks for taking her in.
%u201CNo problem.%u201D Lucifer gestured Jess to sit down. %u201CWe%u2019ll be expecting some explanation though.%u201D
%u201COf course%u2026 everyone does.%u201D Jesse sat down on the seat and started to tell his story. About his true self, of Sunnie. Of everything.

%u201DUm, Wren. Do you have a moment?%u201D Sita made her way in to the dark cave Wren had escaped to after what he did to Sunnie. %u201CI know you%u2019re in here%u2026 Please answer me.%u201D
%u201CBeat it, or maybe I%u2019ll rape you too%u2026%u201D
She smiled slightly. %u201COh come on, I know you%u2019d never do that.%u201D
Wren came out from the darkest part of the cave and walked up to Sita. He looked rather worn, his eyes were dull and unemotional. %u201CHow can you be so sure of that?%u201D
%u201CBecause you%u2019re my brother Wren.%u201D She hugged him tightly. %u201CMy big brother that%u2019s always protected me from harm.%u201D
Wren sat down with Sita on a couple of rocks. %u201CI%u2019m even worse than him%u2026 Not only did I kill her, I%u2026%u201D
%u201CHey Wren.%u201D Sita took his hand in hers, moving her fingers over his. %u201CRemember when we were kids? That time in the forest? I was so mad at you, you had been teasing me all day. I was so sad and ran in to the forest to get away.%u201D
He looked down on the cavern floor. %u201CFather forced me out to look for you. I did feel a bit bad about it though, I didn%u2019t mean to make you so sad. When I finally found you, you had fallen down a little slope and twisted your ankle.%u201D
%u201CYou had to carry me all the way home.%u201D
%u201C%u2026and then the monster came. God I was so scared back then.%u201D
%u201CHey! Imagine how I felt huh. I couldn%u2019t run away with my ankle and all. I had to sit there and watch my brother getting potentially ripped apart by a forest beast.%u201D
%u201CI beat it at least.%u201D
%u201CMmhm%u2026%u201D She leaned her head against his shoulder. %u201CWren, I know you%u2019re not a bad person at heart. That%u2019s why Sunnie loves you.%u201D
%u201CShe hates me%u2026%u201D
%u201CNo she doesn%u2019t!%u201D
%u201CShe never had a reason to love me. I was always the one forcing her. I don%u2019t know how she ever put up with me.%u201D
%u201CDon%u2019t say that!%u201D Sita put her hand against Wren%u2019s cheek and turned his face towards her. %u201CGo talk to her.%u201D
%u201CWhat are you saying?!%u201D Wren stood up, looking down at Sita. %u201CHow%u2026 how can I?! What%u2026 if I hurt her again? When that happened%u2026 I planned to talk to her you know. I just%u2026%u201D
%u201CPlease Wren. I beg you, you have to talk to her.%u201D She looked up at him with pleading eyes.
%u201CFine%u2026 I%u2019ll talk to her.%u201D
Sita beamed a smile at him and stood up. %u201CI%u2019ll tell her to meet up with you.%u201D

%u201CAre you sure Sun?%u201D Jesse asked in concern as he escorted to the room where she had agreed to meet Wren.
%u201CYes, I%u2019m sure.%u201D
%u201CI couldn%u2019t arrange for anything else than this in such short notice, but at least I%u2019d get a heads up if he tries anything.%u201D
%u201CThanks Jess%u2026%u201D She hugged him before the opened the door and entered.

The room was completely void of any kind of furniture, the only thing in it was A huge glass wall that split it in two. On the other side was Wren, he was leaning against the back wall, looking down on the floor. She closed the door behind her.
%u201CHello Wren.%u201D
He looked up at her for a few seconds but then averted his gaze. %u201CHi.%u201D
%u201CSo, what do you want? Do you want to beg for my forgiveness? Have you any idea what you have done to me?!%u201D She slammed her hand in to the thick glass. %u201COf all the horrible things you have done to me this is the worst! The worst!!%u201D She hung her head down sobbing. %u201CYou cut my body to pieces Wren. Both my flesh and soul, the wounds on the outside heal but the ones left inside never go away.%u201D
%u201CSunnie.%u201D He held his arms around his body, head low. His fingernails digging in to his own arms, the sound of her weeping was enough to drive him mad.
%u201CI%u2019m scared Wren%u2026 you scare me. You%u2019re not the person I once knew. You%u2019re so different now. There is something evil about you. All your humanity is gone%u2026 you just, don%u2019t care anymore.%u201D
%u201CI care about you!!%u201D He screamed out.
%u201CYou raped me! You raped me Wren! You do not rape people you care about!%u201D She cried. %u201CYou violated my body! My soul! And I hate you for that! I hate you!!%u201D
Wren looked up at her, a look of despair on his face. He could almost feel his heart rip in two from her words. It was even worse than that time%u2026 when he killed her. %u201CN-no. Don%u2019t say that!!%u201D He staggered over to the glass and leaned against it. Sunnie quickly moved back. %u201CDon%u2019t say that Sunnie! Please!!%u201D
%u201CI hate you!!%u201D She screamed out as loud as she could.
%u201CShut up!!%u201D Wren banged his head in to the glass wall, crackling it slightly, a few drops of blood from his forehead hit the floor and he fell down on his knees. %u201CP-please don%u2019t hate me%u2026%u201D He begged.
%u201CHow can I not%u2026? Look what you have done Wren%u2026 look at the world, look at your friends%u2026 Look at me. When we first met, I thought you were rude, obnoxious and cold. But, under that roughened surface I saw a kind gentle person, who would do anything to protect the ones he loved. I%u2026 I can%u2019t see that anymore. That person is dead. The only thing left is a wicked demon that pretends to have emotions, but who%u2019s only pleasure comes from others misery.%u201D
%u201CN-no, that%u2019s not true%u2026%u201D He sobbed, his voice weak. %u201CI%u2026 don%u2019t want to be alone%u2026%u201D

%u201CWh-where am I?%u201D Wren got up and looked around. It was all pitch black around him. He wiped the tears off his face. There was ground at least. He couldn%u2019t see it but he was standing on something. Since there was no point in staying here, so he started to walk.

Soon he saw a figure sitting down, there was a soft glow about him. As he got closer the person stood up and turned towards him. Wren stopped in his tracks, it was a young boy, he looked just like Jesse. The boy flashed a smile and started to run towards him.
%u201CMaster!%u201D
Wren reached out to touch him as the kid got closer but he passed right through him as a ghost. He quickly turned around and saw another figure. This time it looked just like himself, well, maybe except that the person had completely blonde hair and blue eyes. He picked up the boy in his arms and smiled at him.
%u201CYou seem happy Eloah.%u201D The man said. %u201CDid something happen?%u201D
%u201CNothing ever happens here Master.%u201D He pouted. %u201CThat%u2019s why I%u2019m so happy though, because you said you%u2019d make something for me!%u201D
%u201CYes, wouldn%u2019t it be nice if there were more creatures around?%u201D
The boy nodded eagerly. %u201CLots of more to play with!%u201D
%u201CThen let%u2019s make lots of more to play with.%u201D The man chuckled and started walking with the boy in his arms.
Wren followed them. He knew what was going to happen. He remembered this place, it was his home. Where he first made existence, where he himself was born out of nothingness. He remembered making the creation. These were his memories, memories from the beginning of everything.
As he walked after them they suddenly faded into nothing, as he turned around he was suddenly in a huge room. The image of him was standing on an altar. In front of him were several robed figures. It was the fates. Even Dragon and Gale were amongst them. The little kid was sitting on the altar as well, juggling with some balls.
%u201CI%u2019ll assign you all to a region to watch over. Your job is to make sure that people don%u2019t get lost. You shall be the guiding light that shows them the path through life.%u201D
They all bowed and disappeared. The young man jumped down from the altar and picked up the boy in his arms. %u201CIs something wrong Master?%u201D The boy asked.
%u201CI%u2026 I wonder if I%u2019m doing the right thing%u2026%u201D
%u201COf course! You always do the right things!%u201D The boy grinned.

Wren sighed as the characters faded. Another one appeared in the room. It was Dragon, soon the boy and the image of himself emerged too.
%u201CHow the hell could you let it happen?!%u201D Wren noticed that a few strands of grey were showing in the blonde mans hair as he grabbed Dragons robe and shoving him in to the wall.
Dragon just chuckled. %u201CHey it%u2019s not my fault%u2026 they died.%u201D
%u201CYou were supposed to take care of them! You were there to make sure that they were to survive!!%u201D He punched him hard in the face, blood spattered against the walls.
The boy hid behind the altar and covered his ears, he didn%u2019t want to hear it.
%u201CNot a single one survived! How can you laugh about such a failure?!%u201D
%u201COh come on!! You can make new worlds by the turn of a hand! Why care about a few mortals anyway? Just conjure up a new world for me to handle, they might survive better than the last.%u201D
%u201CHow dare you take lives so easily?!%u201D He screamed out, his eyes shifting from blue to red. %u201CJust because they are mortal, doesn%u2019t give you the right to play with their lives!%u201D He grabbed Dragon by the throat. %u201CI%u2019ll think of a suiting punishment for you%u2026 perhaps a life amongst the mortals you so hate!%u201D
Dragon screamed out in pain as a light engulfed him and he disappeared. The man took a deep breath to calm down, his eyes returned to their normal blue color. %u201CEloah%u2026%u201D He turned to the altar where the boy carefully peeked out from behind one of its corners.
%u201CM-master%u2026%u201D He whimpered.
%u201CI%u2019m so sorry Eloah%u2026 I didn%u2019t mean to scare you%u2026%u201D He walked over to the boy and picked him up, hugging him tight. %u201CPlease forgive me.%u201D
The boy sniffled and nodded, hugging him back.

%u201CI%u2019m going to sleep.%u201D The man declared as he sat down on the altar, his hair was now the same characteristic black and blonde like Wren%u2019s .
%u201CNo! No!! Don%u2019t leave me Master!!%u201D The boy cried, hugging him hard.
%u201CI%u2019m tired. Everyone just keeps messing up my creation. I%u2019m sorry Eloah, I just wanted to make you happy. I wanted to give you friends to play with.%u201D He hugged the kid.
%u201CDon%u2019t leave me Master, please! I%u2026 I%u2019ll be all alone if you go, please don%u2019t leave me!!%u201D
%u201CYou%u2019ll survive Eloah. You%u2019re such a good boy. I know you%u2019ll be fine. Besides, I%u2019ll be right here with you. I won%u2019t die.%u201D
%u201CB-but%u2026%u201D
%u201CI wish all the creatures I made could have been like you. Innocent and pure.%u201D
%u201CMaster%u2026%u201D
%u201CHey, I might return someday. So cheer up.%u201D He gave the boy a soft smile and a kiss on his forehead. %u201CGoodbye.%u201D He closed his eyes and his body went limp in the arms of the child.
%u201CN-no!! No Master!! Wake up!! Wake up!!!%u201D He shook him.
One of the fates appeared as the boy was holding the creator in his arms, crying. Wren remembered him as the leader of the ones that brought him back.
%u201CWh-what happened to the Creator?!%u201D He exclaimed and hurried over to them.
%u201CH-he left us!%u201D Eloah cried and threw his arms around the robed man. %u201CYou got to find him again! You got to bring him back to me!!%u201D
%u201CI%u2026 I will do my best.%u201D
The body of the creator fell to the floor, as it hit the ground it turned in to dust.
%u201CM-Master! Noo!! Master!! Master!!! Come back! Master!!!%u201D
