Some say you get the mid-morning blues
When you start reading the news
With some lovely pictures of dead ewes.
You think that you should take a dive
If it's just to stay alive
When the whole world can strive.
Keeping up a pleasant smile
To fool your friends just for a while
But you're blue like the Nile.
I wish to you that I could say
Everything will go your way
Just hang on for another day.
But that to you would be a lie
The truth will only make you cry
No matter how hard I try.
Just think a little bit more green
Things can't really be bad as they seem
Just realise what you mean.
