Just as Snake stands, his SOCOM pointed at her head, Otacon decloaks in the distance. "Why...!? I loved you..." He says quietly.

She beacons to her rifle, which she dropped on the ground, and Otacon brings it over. "This gun is a part of me." she hugs it against her chest. "Everyone is here now. Okay hero...set me free..." Sniper Wolf begs with her last ounce of strength. Otacon turns his back to her and covers his ears.
"Goodbye, Wolf." he whispers...

Snake closes his eyes and shoots her in the forehead. The powerful sound of the gunshot can be heard echoing throughout the snowfield. "Snake, you said that love could bloom on a battlefield... But I couldn't save her." Otacon whispered, his voice wavering. Snake then places Wolf's handkerchief on top of her head, covering the bullet wound. "Why are you returning it?" Otacon questions. "...Because I don't have anymore tears to shed" Snake responds, looking down as the hankercheif slowly turns red. Otacon, unable to hold back his greif, begins to sob. "We're out of time. I have to act. Get away from this island...get a start on your new life" Snake says to Otacon. "I want to stay and help you" Otacon manages to say through his grief, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. "Find a safe place to hide and stay in touch.." Snake advises Otacon. He turns and begins to walk off. But just as Snake is nearly out of sight, the snow covering him up, Otacon calls to him. "Snake! What was Wolf fighting for? What are the terrorists fighting for? What are we fighting for?" Snake, almost obscured in black and white, looks back at Otacon. "If we make it through this I'll tell you!" he yells back. "Okay...I'll be looking too..." Otacon responds to the darkness. He wiped the last of his tears, and dissapeared off into the night.

Okay, as this was anticipated, it's a dramatic Otacon/Wolf picture. Otacon is REALLY UPSET. That's all you need to know. This picture almost went through four revisions untill I was finally happy with this one. YAY OTACON WOOO.
