Here's a fun fact. Back before Mario & Luigi, there was an American-made Super Mario World comic. In order to "smuggle" Princess Peach out of Koopa's castle. . .or. . .the castle of one of the Koopalings or something. . .they had to switch Luigi's and Peach's clothing. I also thought it was an odd coinsidence Nintendo decided to go with the American persona for Luigi.(Remember, he was a through-and-through coward in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show onward. . .)
