Ahh, Naruto... the series that can't tell a shuriken from a peanut.
I have not only hated Naruto before (And I STILL can't figure out why it's as overpopular as it is) but I quickly began to DESPISE the constant comparisons of "Sabata from Boktai looks like Sasuke!"
With my distinct love of Sabata and hatred for Naruto and its horrid characters, it got to the point I couldn't take it anymore.
Sabata is not amused by the comparison.
Nor am I.
So I've helped him end it.
A word to the Naruto "fans": Don't waste your time bashing me if you're like "OMG YOU SUCK CUZ NARUTO IS THE BEST" and throw a little hissy tantrum at this picture. Because if you flame me, then I'll just point and laugh and be amused by your petty little insults. So yeah. You all like that, bite me.

Naruto's author is Masashi Kishimoto and some people may agree with me that he's one of those Toriyama-wannabes that have been appearing in Japan... I don't know if he's lame or not, but he has made Dragon Ball Z with ninjas... which isn't amusing (and DBZ isn't either, mainly after Freezer's saga). In fact, I only could stand until episode 21 and that was because I wanted it to be interesting (when I found the only interesting characters were Kakashi and Rock Lee, I said "I give up! I'm not watching this just only for two characters, even if they're good ones!"). Some shows are overpopular for some reasons I don't understand... same goes to Bleach and One Piece.
Of course, I hate the three medling kids (Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura... especially those last two), so... go for them, Sabata! Slash them! Cut them down! And after that, go for Sakura and show her what a scythe can do to a stupid kunoichi-wannabe! *bricked*

anyway my older sister is a Naurto fan while I'm a Boktai fan we like to make fun the fact that the two kinda... look a like, same with why is Django and Naruto blonde..
and it's just fanish view of OMG?! at 1st site... though nevertheless if you really feel strong about your opinion then I better not proceed to protest... or esle I will be flame with Sabata's fan girls..

How anyone can possibly see ANY resembelence between those two is just stupid..they have blue hair but thats IT. Sasuke is a moody, "bad ass" stuck on revenge.. Sabata isnt even close to that (aside from bad assedness).
Ask for popularity..ill favor the DBZ theory from Draug. Though at least Naruto doesnt drag ONE BATTLE for half a season...whatever happened to good anime? Like Record of Lodoss War... >_>

Statement of opinion, statement of opinion, statement of opinion. Some people think Naruto is great. Some people don't. Some people think overpopular animes are bad. Some people don't. Sad fact is sometimes, those overpopular animes are actually popular because they ARE good. People just badmouth them all the time and begin to concrete the idea that the anime sucks. It might not be true for your case, but it happens.

I started reading the Naruto a few days ago, and now I realize why it's so pouplar. It was a great anime and manga that came out at the right moment. Same thing with the Gundam Seed Destiny. Like Hyziel said, Some overpouplar animes are actually popular because they are good, and Naturo is one of them
But personally, I don't see the comparasion. I think he seems to be more comparable to Harpuia then anyone else.
But I suppose Sabata doesn't realize that Sakura, Ino, and every other fangirl of Sasuke's will maul the dark boy into pieces for that...Sure he can beat that mysterious, good and evil, etc guy; but he can't take millions of fangirls
