WHY IS GREY ALL CHIMPS DAME?! >( He does look a little simian, but it's his eyes that bugger me the most. It's such a weird expression for Grey. It looks more actively angry than generally pissed off.

I likum that blood and chair there, and the pink outline looks good despite the fact that you're sublimaly trying to make it more gay. Womens are only good for the pretty paint that leaks out, where you stab them. |<
I believe it looks simian because the bottom of the face is pulled back too much. Ya know what i mean? :\
Something I noticed on this and the muzzleImeannuzzle picture, the forehead shape is odd and the eye isn't close enough to the front of the head. Now the eye placement can vary with your own style, but it interacts with the cranium shape. When you draw heads in profile, they get compressed in the front-back direction.
I'd suggest drawing some heads without kami no ke and without big ears for practice.
