I had this visualization of Harp leaning over listening with xmas gear on, so I ran with it. I've been seeing alot of phonographs lately (particularly a drawing artist Amtrack88 did of their own character replacing the RCA Victor dog, which might have fed the image into my head), I just hope it doesn't upset them that I was inspired by it. Aaanyway, Amber's personality is very Harpo Marx. The dance that Harpo did in film "Duck Soup" to the clock chimes, music box, alarm clock, and then playing the strings inside the piano, that thought came to mind when doing this drawing. I felt like sticking Harp's plushie dog Hokum someplace and that was the only place I could think of where he wouldnt be in their way.
And yes, the record cover says Wurlitzer. It's the old fashioned theatre organ that they play to silent films. I listen to organ tunes alot lately, along with other artists of the period like Billy Murray, Cliff Edwards, Jelly Roll Morton, and Django Reinhardt.
