I really admire the effort that goes into these clayboard styles...they have a really neat, archaic feel to them.
The one thing that you might want to consider for the future is the perspective of the head. I'm not exactly sure, but that one tuft of fur to the left of the face looks like a bit of a perspective error. Either that tuft might need to be removed or the face/front of the body turned a bit more to look towards the viewer. Not sure, though--you should probably get a second opinion.
I think you did well in conveying the general pose, and especially the lighting on the back and tail and that pretty little sparkle in the eye.
