Rohan

Wheeeeee okay! This is glass. It's a technique called 'sand blasting'. Which is just that. You take a high pressured hose thing with sand and it scratches into the glass. Here, I'll just type out the steps.

1) Take two layers of Contact Paper (special paper thing you can find at an Ace Hardware) and place it on your glass. Make sure there are NO air bubbles in it!
2) Number sections of your design to show depth.
3) With an exacto knife, cut out the deepest sections.
4) Sand blast.
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all sections are cut and etched.
6) Peel off contact paper and wash glass.

It's a simple process, but it takes FOREVER to cut out the pieces! Especially with my design. I am very, VERY pleased on how this turned out! I took the picture outside, so it's a little hard to see the layers, even when looking right at the actual thing, but there's 4 layers to it.

Obviously the Rohan horse head and Sun design. I acutally altered two horse designs to get that one.
