It's obvious that some proportions and things are wrong- this is only my first drawing of Sephiroth, and completely from memory at that. That's why his clothes are so... simple, compared to normal.

I really need to force myself to do the pencil sketches lighter. Once you erase and go over them with pastel, the indentations show through. I fixed what I could in Paint Shop. I tried to get the color quality as close as I could to the actual drawing I did when I scanned it. The real picture is all bright, and... burny... Blending the bottom of his coat and the flames was an accident, but it turned out for the better because it made the flames look a little more realistic.

Scanning the pic was the only way to make the picture digital and still get the colors as close to the real thing as possible, so a lot of the picture ended up cropped. The end of his Masamune, the left of the picture where his hair was flowing, as well as on the bottom.
