watercolor practice with characters of Kagerou
(link)
(even though Aunt Dee is only speculated to represent one I put her in because she's cool like that)
some minor colorpencil in there, but not enough to worry about.
Some bits I like and some came out a big mess. No references used, only memory, so they might not be very accurate, but that wasn't the point.
ok,
critiques are very welcome on this.
I think most of the flaws are covered so far as I've been told it needs maybe more subdued colors in the background, more depth/space between characters, and my lines are going every which way so its hard on the eye. anything else? any suggestions at all are welcome.

I'm horrible at critiques on things like this simply due to the fact that I can't do backgrounds, so anything with a background is like "OMGWOAH".
But it's so nice for my inbox to be graced with another old-fashioned greenbear submission. It's been a long time since you've submitted anything like this :)

very good trace and painting!!!
Aside from what's been said already critique-wise.. I don't know! - this is very beautifully done : D Nice job mixing and balancing the color.. Seriously - looks great! : )

Very cool.... The preview-squishy thing does this picture no justice... I honestly don't understand how anyone can work so well with watercolor paints
I especially love the richness of the colors and the orientation of the characters relative to one another... Very nicely done
Hope you don't mind if I fave it

The flying dragon thingy looks super cool, but he looks weakly placed in there. His being rainbowy against your background is a tough thing to work around, I would suggest just bring up the value a bit on the colors of the tail area of it, that's where it really needs it most. There really isn't much wrong with this, I love it, it's great and cool for an illustration.

u could depict so much movement and its beautiful but the thing is the people here or creatures in this case dont have that beauty as perfection and its good...cuz ur saying a 1000 words
LAEluu Says:
It's really beautiful; I love the strokes you used. As far as the woman goes atomically (sp?), I'd move her head a bit to the right (our right, not hers). It's really all so busy; I think you should work on the balance a bit more; the colours really are hitting the picture full-blast at the right of the picture, and it's drawing all the attention to that side. The left-side of the picture is really just...I don't know. It gets no attention. :] It's really beautiful, though.
I've officially listed the only critiques I have.
Huzzah!

Oh dear! ;o; I left a huge critique and it deleted all of it! </3 Well, I'll sum it up, sorry if it sounds rude for it being so blunt! >< I hate retyping all of this!:
It's truely beautiful; I love the boldness of the colours! Ee! I really do luff it.
1] The woman's chin is a bit too far to our left for my liking; it might be stylistic, it just kinda urked me.
2]All the bold, bright colours and colour-differences are at the right; it draws way too much attention to that area! The left side of the picture is neglected.
Sorry if that did sound rather blunt, but yes.
LAEluu Says:
;_____; THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE ACCIDENTLY DELETED MY CRITIQUE. It will be severly blunt and rude-sounding. My apologies. </3
1] Her chin is too far to the left for my liking; I'd have moved it a bit to the right.
2] All the focus is to the right of the picture because of the bold colours; the left is neglected.
Sorry for the bluntness, I'm sick of repeating the typing and the longness! It truely is beautiful, though, and I really do love it, darling.
