----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This picture has taken me quite som time to complete. I do not know exactly how long, but it has been several weeks. I have had quite a lot of things to do lately, so drawing this picture was something I did when I felt that I needed to relieve som stress. It was not stressful at all to do, except for in the end when I did get stressed, because I have to go back to school after my break tomorrow ;3;
Anyway, this picture features a crow in a blossoming cherry tree, at dawn. I am aware of that the colors I have chosen do not look very much like dawn at all, but you will have to imagine that.
Crows are very beautiful creatures, and I have never understood why their reputation is so bad. They are very beautiful, black as the night, but with a lovely shine in their feathers.
Cherry trees are something most people realte to spring and light. Their blossoms are so fragile, only whole for a short time, before they lose their petals; falling down like pink snow in the mild spring weather.
This picture came to my mind one evening when it was snowing outside. The blue tones of the snow dominated the landscape, except for one small light outside. I realized that nothing is as stron as light, especially not when it is warm and reviving. I wished for spring to come, and thought that while I was waiting, I could just as well draw a picture.
Not that spring has arrived yet, but it is certainly a lot closer than when I started drawing.

Interesting, and I love the blossoms.

As for why crows get a bad rap...ever try to chase one away from carrion? They have a New Yorker-like attitude; they just look at you like, "Yeah, yeah, big, stupid, clumsy human--you can't get me!" and don't even bother to fly away half the time.
Woah. O_o
Your artwork always amaze me.
I love the blossems and the sky...it really reminds me of spring..
