Rin from Togainu no Chi. (Cause we all know who I have a sad obsession with. )
I wish that I could find a way
To smash my fist right through these walls
Of ugliness and emptiness
And gently touch your face
This was really difficult to do, because I couldn't get the pose right, and then I decided that I wanted to digitally ink, and color everything. Then I realized I didn't have an idea as to what I wanted to use for the background, so i ended up just taking a screencap from the game and manipulated it to work with Rin. I really like the picture overall though, I like the mood I set, and the tones I used. I wanted Rin to have a much cooler tone than I usually do for him, so I tried to stay with a fairly cool pallete for the shading. But I think my favorite thing is the way the knives and his outfit came out.
And yes, Rin is in a skirt, I did that on purpose, I just liked the way he looked in it. May favorite thing is the shading on the skirt, I wanted it to look like leather, it turned out pretty good. I really like it. ^^ Not real happy with the arms and hands, but that's something I still need to work on.
