Great perspective. The line drawn along the black pieces is very appealing, especially against the foreground of the hand with the single white piece.

The reflection on the polished board is also a pleasing detail.

Interesting...one thing that's got me wondering: Gabriel is the Archangel, correct? If so, a pawn is a very interesting piece to be using...

I don't think flash should've been used, I think it would've looked a whole lot better with natural light, like a lamp to the side so then it would bring some shadows and lllook amazing.
Good concept of a picture though, and concept of a meaning.

one thing i don't like though is the hand inthe picture ...it should be placed differently or OR be darker OR just be excluded!

the warm mahogany and tans are engaging though! very nice VERY nice!
