Deep within a darkling wood
where dragonflies woo their prey
gnarled branches screen the sky
and leaves dapple day
There within the ancient trunks
pale eggs are laid with care.
Beneath blistered bark foals will grow , then,
when heat has stripped the fern heads bare
hatching out in honey'd sap,
mewling to their mother's care

Wow...I absolutely love the look of watercolors...the other thing that makes this seem so surreal is how much smaller the baby unicorns are compared to a normal foal. Congrats on the Featured Art!
