Contest submission for Redangel's Winter Contest (Wish me luck!)
Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for. It's unfortunate that Sheezy went down the day of Redangel's due date for the Winter Contest. This is the best work I've ever done. Personally I had the most fun working on this. I spent 4 days drawing it, coloring it, the turning it into a wallpaper for use on a desktop! That's right, this is the first time I really ever CGed something that I drew.
Day 1:
Concept art and brainstorming idea
Draw the final piece and scan it onto the computer
Day 2:
Transform the sketch into line art using Photoshop
Start coloring
Day 3:
Coloring finished after a while of looking at various coloring methods and tutorials
Day 4 (Jan 14):
Turn my art into a wallpaper and fast
Find some good brushes, add twinkley thingies, touch up the pic
Finish
That's how I spent my 4 days. Of course I went to school and work so I didn't spend countless hours or something.

great for a background, it's very flamboyant with all the sparkles in the sky. Sadako is done well and her little tuff of hair sticking out from the top is humorous. The ramen on the well is funny too, but there's a problem with the well perpsective-wise. And there's two reasons for this. We see the stones of the well and the arc is facing down, which means we should be able to see the top of the well once it ends, but instead the arc is facing up and it feels like we are shorter than the well. But we can also see over the top of Sadako's ice block, so the perspective on this is two objects contradicting eachother. But this is a very simple composition, so it can be forgiven. Nice work! :)

IT IS TOO CUTE! I love how it is colored and it is cute yet sad at the same time. I would be sad if I couldn't get to my favorite ramen in time so I can relate ;_;
Anyway, for your first CG you did pretty darn good if you ask me.
