Last year, I "designed" a Christmas card for someone, and she paid me for it, and, I hoped to do it again. I couldn't really get any good ideas, but, I did paint this, and it was time consuming and boring.
She hated it, and said she had no money to get cards printed, and she didn't want to use it, anyway.
Ugh.

The simplicity of the composition and the warm colours really make it stand out. I love the single star. It's a shame she did not want this as a christmas card, it does not justify it's simple elegance at all.
how could some one hate that?? ....... is this some kind of scrooge we're dealing with???
and did they really come out and say they 'hate' it??? i think it's grand.. it goes hand in hand with your photos from the other day

I'm totally with Lillico on this! WHAT THE HELL!? If I got a Christmas card this pretty, I wouldn't be worried about presents at all. The sky is beautiful, the snow is beautiful, those elf-girls are beautiful, and overall the composition!! You said it was boring but honestly, I would think you could have enjoyed making this one quite a bit.
