At first glance this one reminded me of this cat fanart you had done some time ago, I completly forgot about this character until I read the description
I envy your inking. (That was more a general comment than specific to this pic, although the inking is fine in this one... WHY am i commenting at 7 in the morning?!)

The Peanuts was a great comic. It's a shame kids
today (unlike me) don't even bother reading the
classics.
Spike was one of the best characters ever... I loved
that tired look he always had on his face. x3
