hee. ^-^ ok, so fer meh art project, i had to choose a photograph and draw it on grey paper using gray + white charcoal. naturaly, i didnt want any magazine clippin, would have been so unmmotivated. so i began lookin for photos from friends. ^-^ at first i wanted to do this one pic jennjenn took of this tower.... but i had no way of contacting her to get it. then i saw kai's pic. P= dun shoot me. lol. it was perfect- made fer a great piece. ^-^ im reeaalllly proud of this. i spent about 2 weeks class time which is estimated..... 7 and a half hours.... pluss weekend time... i estimate a grand total of 9-10 hours. somewhere in there. it was too big to scan so i had to digicam it, thats why it kidna looks slanted. also, it kinda ate it.... it looks SO much better irl. *nod* ok. ya. GIMME ADVICE!!!! *domo*

great job! good sense of realism, nice contrasts. pulled off very well with charcoals!
that's a good idea- black and white on gray paper. saves you a lot of time for filling in shades!

i think that looks incredible. wonderful job. looking at the thumbnail, i thought it was an image you just grey-scaled on the computer. but seeing it as an actual hand-done piece... wow.

Nice. Shading is nothing short of excellent, especially on the hands and hair. Only problems I can see are that the eyes look a little uneven and the head looks a bit flat at the top.
