as some of you may or may not know, i work as an equine vet technician.
Indy, the veterinarian that pushed me to submit my resume, and got me the job with her practice, is expecting a bundle of joy sometime within the next two months.
because she was able to get me this job, and because she has become a very awesome friend, i wanted to do something special for her, and her son... and since her baby-shower was saturday (which i had to miss because i had to work. tehe) i mustered up the motivation to draw this out for her.
obviously taken from a photo ref i found somewhere online. so props to the photographer.
colored pencil and waterclour on bristol. *sips coffee* lets pretend i didn't pull an all nighter to get this finished so i could give it to her today. it's all framed and ready to go.

i hope she likes it. *smile*

I think that's going to be a very nice gift! That seems like a tough perspective to work with, reference or no reference, so very cool.

I'm sure she'll love it! Art is always so much more amazing in real life than on the net. I love the floofy mane. And it looks so real...
