Just A Man

This is a picture I did for Drawing Class.... it has some strong points and some very very weak ones; but I, personally like it (which is a bonus!) Our assignment was to do three portraits in the drawing styles of the three different artists we were assigned. Mine were Leonardo Da Vinci, Francisco Goya, and Lucian Freud... this particular image is my Goya. Goya did etchings, I just did a crosshatch inking to mimick the etchings he did. Anyhow, for the portraits we could either do all three pictures as self portraits, or two as self portraits and one as a portrait of a close someone and finally two self portraits and one as an object portrait (As if a chair really conveys my personality).. and so, this is a portrait of Travis, my fiance and the other two pictures are portraits of me. The scanner is a bit too small for the picture... so it kind of ruined the composition, but what can one do? Okay, I think that's about all the blathering I should be allowed to do...
