Reality

And we spoke of forever,
As if we could really work miracles
and make believe that time would allow us
to never depart from one another.

I've realized through down fall after down fall
That this could never come to pass,
My path is one I must face alone.

I can't deny the way my heart longs for your touch,
or they way your smile puts a bright gleam in my eye,
But we can never be..

My soul is withering and grasping,
for the dream world you so readily
handed over to me,
But it seems my reality wont leave me quite yet..
