I can't believe that I forgot to post this picture. It's been ready to post since January and I guess I just kept forgetting. In fact I have a number of older pictures that I've been meaning to post but just keep forgetting to. I really should get around to them sometime, even if just to post them in scraps because of their age.
Anyway, believe it or not, this picture counts as being part of the Mega Man/Rockman fandom. Rather, it's one of my original characters named Scratch, a Dark Energy being. (Anyone remember the Evil Energy creatures in MM/RM 8? Basically that but a different vein on the species. Or perhaps it's the other way around.) Obviously Scratch doesn't resemble a skull or a robot, but rather resembles a fox more than anything else. A fox with giant vaporal claws and giant glowing gold eyes. Her story will eventually be told in fan fiction (such as
Poison of Love, so I can't really tell much more than that.
I remember that I had a lot of fun drawing her. The neon-esque outlines and softly glowing darkness (to talk about contradictions), as well as the general surreality of her is just so fun. I think I have a few more Dark Energy creatures like her lurking about on my hard drive waiting to be posted too, but I have to look around.
