Edit for the Leave a Comment Club and the Struggling Artist's Club:
You know what, i think I want to clean this one up a little and I need your guy's help to do it. Pretty please help? What can I do to improve, and if I need too, I'll submit the lineart because the coloring I know sucks.

I'm redoing the Tarot with my dragon characters.

"Hello Mortal,"

Okay, so some people were having a lot of problems (or maybe it's just my crazy family ) seeing the dragon in this picture so I flat-colored her (and did a SLOPPY job! ). This is Earth, the dragon of life and nature in my stories, and in this picture she is depicted as the Priestess. There are elements from SEVERAL cultures, and am looking to include more so if you have any ideas how to include Hindu or Buddha symbology, let me know (Unless you're bored and want to read a novel, read no more and comment!)

Rider Waite Elements: The two columns in the original Priestess card have become trees with the "B" and "J" turned into Runes. The "Sacred Torah" is also in there too, you just have to look hard enough :)

Thoth Tarot: She wears a Diadem (her horns, actually), and sits upon the bow of Artemis (another thing in which you have to look closely). She weaves the fruits, flowers, and crystals of the earth.

Christian Elements: The two trees represent the Trees of Knowledge, Good, and Evil, and the Tree of Life. (Yggdrasil, the black tree, and Sephiroth/Gaia, the white tree). A serpent is crawling beneath Yggdrasil's Roots, which leads tooo.... Notice that Yggdrasil is FRUITING and Gaia is flowering, ironic considering the Adam, Eve, and Fruit story.

Norwegian Elements: In Norwegian legend, Yggdrasil is the World Tree which creates the world. The legend states that a wolf attacks the tree whilst an eagle (I say Phoenix) nests at the top, and a DRAGON/SERPENT (the snake) eats its roots from the bottom. Another funny thing, in my Tarot the Pentacles/Coins become the Runes suit, and thus the Runes represent Earth element in my tarot. Look at the bottom of the the trees, you will see the Runes scratched in and ironically it was at the bottom of Yggdrasil, the World Tree, that Odin found the runes in Norwegian Myth.

Jewish/Hebrew/Kabbalah Elements: If you look closely, the trees form the LITERAL Sephiroth diagram from the Kabbalah (look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about), and the crystals on the tree branches help map the Sephiroth out between the two trees. Also, the Sacred Torah form the original Tarot decks is HIDING in Earth's wing, you can see the Torah inscribed and fading away.
*Another thing to note about the Sephiroth, if you have looked at Aliester Crowley's Tarot/Sephiroth diagram and where the Priestess is depicted on that diagram, you will see that Earth the dragon sits exactly where the Priestess is.

Egyptian Elements: Between the moon and her horns that form the Diadem, you see the symbol of Isis, the egyptian mother of nature and healing (which are both Earth's talents)

Japanese Elements: Very LITTLE of it shows, but anyways, Japanese myths depict a "Forest God" who becomes the "Night Walker" at night (ever wathc Princess Mononoke?) It doesn't show in the card but in my stories Earth IS that forest god(ess?) and nightwalker, who tends the trees and that pathway to Eden at night.

Aztec/Mayan Elements: They too believe in a version of the "Tree of Life,"

Hope you enjoyed the full length novel >>

I like it. You did a nice job with the coloring and the scenery. I absolutely adore the dragon and how it matches the theme of this card. Now for some help... well I can see you didn't really shade the leaves with the fruit hanging off them. Also, if this is a night scene everything should have a blue or violet undertone. I'd try adding some of those shades into the objects of the piece. Also, the gems on the white tree should give off some lighting on the trunk as you have done with the darker tree.
