Cat Nap

Ah, how I wish I could just go back,
To when I was a dragonling.
Head filled with trivial events,
And not a worry on either wing.

I would lay curled up after,
A full day's work of chewing and tearing.
With my tail fluff warming my face,
A rough wind blowing, but not caring.

The pillow underneath me as warm as can be,
Oh how it felt to be as young as me...

Watercolor #7
It looks about a million times better in realy life. Like, a million. The colors aren't so jarring, they flow and look really good......and that mouse doesn't look all dark and gross. And all the colors are more pastel-like. Oh well.
That aside, I kind-of like how this came out. I think it's my first ever watercolor with no reference at all for anything, except the pillow. I REALLY love how the pillow came out . First time ever to draw cloth or folds in cloth, so that turned out nice .
And this is my first watercolor dragon, Kalico or otherwise. Lots of firsts here, and it's even a "first" moment for Kalico (seeing as this is a childhood picture). Doesn't she look so peaceful here?

I really tried to capture the cat-like part of my calico cat-dragon character/fursona, Kalico. I think I mostly succeeded there . She's a kittenling or a dragitten or something here xD.

Oh, and that's stuffing coming out of the mouse. You can't really tell because, again, it's missing part of the scan ;_;. Darn my scanner...........

IGNORE THE SCAN LINE. I did my best to fix it, which wasn't enough. I might rescan it sometime to get a better version.
