Queen Selenity/Serenity

Selenity/Serenity Your preference of spelling, it's pronounced the same. Made this and it's going to be the cover for a poetry book I need to make for class. It'll be sooooo cool! It's gonna be my senshi fuku designs!!!

Ah, my chalk technique Everyone always asks that when I use it. I should copy and paste it into those comment boxes were I not such a lazy bastard

Take some coloured chalk and get a bowl or plate or something. Use a knife to shave some of the chalk into the bowl and use someting slightly rounded, or even flat (like maybe a screwdrier handle or a cup, I use a film canister) and like a mortar and pestel, grind it up really fine into a powder.

cover the parts of your pic. that you don't want chalk on. Hairspray a small area where you DO want chalk.

Take a doily and lie it on top of your hairsprayed area (it doesn't have to be wet still.) and with a stiff paintbrush, dab the powdered chalk through the holes in the doilie. Hairspray and remove, or vice versa, depending on how much of the chalk you want to stay on the page.
Give it a shake and a blow and some more hairspray when you've finished the whole piece! Tadaaaah!!!
