The Neo Senshi ~ Chapter 1

Chapter 1
Eleena Kino put her umbrella up, she walked through the rain util she came to Crystal High\'s school gates. She walked into the school putting the umbrella down, she went to reception, \"I\'m new,\" Eleena pushed the one strand of her hair which was purple out of her face to join the rest of her brown hair, \"I don\'t know what class to go to, can you help me?\"
The receptionist smiled, \"Just let me check,\" She looked through the thousands of time tables on her computer, \"Ah here we go, I\'ll just print of a copy of your time table for you!\" She said smiling, she then handed the time table to Eleena.
\"OK,\" Eleena stared down at her time table, \"It says here that I have music in room 114, where is that?\"
The receptionist pointed her in the right direction and Eleena made her way to class.
Tess was playing a solo on her spanish guitar when Eleena came in and made her stop, \"Hey I was half way through my piece and then you had to come bounding in and knock my guitar out of tune!\" Tess said annoyed.
\"Sorry,\" Eleena said sarcastically handing her transfer papers to the teacher, who introduced her.
\"Now, Eleena Kino, what instruments do you play? Let me see,\" The teacher looked at the notes her old music teacher had given her to give in at her new school, \"It says here that you can play... The guitar - electric and acoustic, the piano, the flute and in your old town you had a band who performed in every concert and you were the lead singer, impressive. Let me see, sit over there please.\" He pointed to a desk about two desks away from Tess\' desk.
Tess packed away her guitar and put it at the back of the room and then sat down at her desk next to Kate\'s.
The class lasted 3 periods and, as Eleena had gotten to the school at about break time, it was now lunch. She was sitting in the courtyard, eating when someone came up behind her and tried to push her off the table she was sitting at.
She lashed around, \"Watch it!\"
It was the school bully, he sneered, \"Watch it!\" He imitated using a monstrous high voice.
Eleena\'s eyes narrowed, \"Don\'t mess with me!\"
The bully\'s voice became gruff, \"Why\'s that?\"
\"Because if you do, I\'ll kick your ass from here to Chicago where I transferred from.\" Eleena turned around and put her lunch away.
\"Bring it.\" The bully jeered.
Rolling her eyes, Eleena span around and kicked him hard in the ribs, causing him to fall over.
\"Beat it.\" Eleena said calmly.
So, he stood up and ran, leaving Eleena to eat in peace.
Tess and Kate sat at their table just eating not paying any attention to Eleena.
Eleena sighed, she wasn\'t hungry any more, so, she opened her lunch of spaghetti and meatballs and walked over to Tess.
\"Hey, Tess.\" Eleena said.
Tess looked up.
So, Eleena tipped her lunch over Tess\' green and black hair, turned, and walked away.
Tess screamed a long, loud scream, it was enough to wake the dead.
\"KINO! GET BACK HERE!\" Tess yelled after Eleena who just carried on walking.
After lunch, was gym, Eleena got changed in the locker room into her skirt, shorts and t-shirt, all of them were red.
It was volley ball try outs, Eleena made Team Captain and Kate and Tess made detention because they had thrown the volley ball at Eleena\'s head.
Eleena stood outside at the end of the school day in the same place she stood where she had stood when she had had no friends that very morning, now, she had boys holding her books and the volley ball and cheerleading squad as her clique, she was doing extremely well.
A taxi pulled up and Eleena got into it, some of the guys yelled \"Call me!\" After her, and she smiled, nodding.
\"56 Miller\'s Avenue please.\" Eleena said to the driver.
The Driver nodded, \"Sure, kid.\"
After a five minute journey, they puled up at a large white washed house next to the temple.
\"That\'ll be £25 kid.\" The driver held out his hand.
Eleena swore, \"£25?! For a five minute car ride?\"
\"It\'s not like you can\'t spare it.\" The driver indicated how big her house was.
\"I can\'t spare it, my mother owns the temple, she is the priestess, she inherited the house and the temple from my great grandfather who died last week, we are really, really poor and besides,\" Eleena pointed to the chart above her head, \"It says here that five minutes costs £2.\"
Eleena handed £2 over and got out of the car. She ran up the steps and opened the front door of her house, \"I\'m home!\" She then ran upstairs.
After she had finished her homework, she got a phone-call.
\"Meet me at the park,\" A gruff voice sounded on the other end of the phone, \"In twenty minutes if you ever want to see your beloved Jesse again.\"
\"Jesse?...\" Eleena gasped; Jesse was her betrothed when she had lived in California.
\"What do you want from me?\" Eleena asked quickly.
The line went dead.
