Three gals and no guy? Of course not! For the ladies out there teh Dan gives you a pretty naked boy ^^ and look, white hair and animal ears!! You can play with his ears if you want to X3 Yay for ass ugly bg ^-^;; Remember that teh Dan worked with this "dirty" shading so it was meant to be like that. Light sources and directions of shadows need work so you comment on that. Also proportions and some tips for hair would be appreciated
This pic was special cuz I kinda took a yellow color and started changing its saturation, light and darkness to make all the colors you're looking here, of course, I cheated a bit and add some percents of red and blue here and there but almost everything came from the same source tone.
THIS IS NO FUCKING INU-YASHA! GET THAT IN THAT EMPTY SPACE YOU CALL BRAIN!!!!!!!
Ahem, sorry, I needed to do that, you never know when a little shit is going to compare my pic with official art X)

Oh yesh, I wanna touch the silky ears...
I love the color sceme, it makes everything fit together really well. The eerie eyes and the lines defining the spine... And the way you shaded the hair- I like that.

I'm not sure if you will find it fits your style, but since you asked for tips about hair, and you are working digitally, I found this tutorial a while ago which is mostly cool because it gives you some great photoshop brushes for working with hair: http://dazedgraphics.com/tutorials/skooldaze_hair_tutorial.htm. I played with it a bit myself: http://www.sheezyart.com/view/270631/, on the dummy provided by the tutorial, but haven't used it on any pieces yet. Still, it's a cool little resource to have if you like it. Lovely, though. Just lovely artwork.
