Godzilla: Soul of the Monster


In the Year 2005, It has been over 50 Years since Godzilla\'s last attack on Tokyo. The people of Tokyo have been living in peace due to the fact that the menacing monster has not tried to destroy them, the first Godzilla was destroyed through the sacrifice of Daisuke Serizawa and his Oxygen Destroyer. He had given up his life so no one would ever try to recreate the dreaded weapon, but Daisuke had a brother who knew him very well. His name was Tetsuo Serizawa, He became a paelentologist, working with Kyohei Yamane. Kyohei was a well known scientist, he had examined Godzilla\'s physiology and had concluded that Godzilla was thought to have been the last of his kind, However... He was wrong. One Godzilla lived through the nuclear ordeal, different than his father; He sleeps on. Until a meteorite had impacted the sea of Japan, and the King of the Monsters lives again! After Godzilla\'s awakening, Other monsters, old and new awake. Rodan, the mutant Pteranodon who could fly at super sonic speeds, Varan, a giant species of iguana that could glide by ways of thin membrane running from his arms to his legs like a flying squirrel, Anguirus, A giant spiked reptile mutated by toxic sludge in its old water ways. Mothra, protector goddess of Infant Island had felt the other monsters presence arise... She knew what she had to do. Selflessly, Mothra had taken to the sky and tried to stop the monsters from bringing destruction to earth. Godzilla\'s dorsal spines glow with fury and heat ripples wave around the giant reptile\'s mouth and in a flash, He had unleashed a powerful heat ray. Mothra quickly evaded the damaging blast, but she had been hit with a ray similar to Godzilla\'s but more in a green hue. Varan had developed an Atomic Heat Ray breath attack, a trait the first Varan never used. Rodan had been hit by Mothra\'s wing and stumbled into the Ocean. Anguirus had rolled into an armored ball and hit Mothra with body breaking force, Mothra fell into the ocean. Sadly, Moths could not swim as well as they could fly and Rodan had found himself back up on shore with the other monsters because another meteor hit the ocean and caused a giant tidal wave. When these monsters would wake up again, we may never know.

The next day, a Group of tourists had come to Tokyo. One group however sets a big difference in importance in the future, their leader is a 16 year old by by the name of Jonathan Fanning. His 3 best friends came with him, Vincent McCormack who was 16, Ian Boudreau who was 15, and Matthew Thorndyke who was 12 Years old and his brother Timothy was 8. \"Remind me why you had to come with us.\" Asked Jonathan. Tim answered, \"Only because mom told us to.\" \"Dude you are not even related to us.\" Said Vincent. Then as soon as they had stopped arguing, Jon\'s penpal had arrived. She was 15 Years of age and had beautiful soft hair. Jon inquired, \"And just who are you, Ma\'am?\" She said in perfect english, \"Hello, I am Mina. Your penpal.\" Jon had just remembered a picture that she sent him and said, \"You look even prettier in person.\" Tim was gagging and Matthew was getting all fired up and was ready to bash on his friend. He started singing the \"Jonny has a Girlfriend song\" when all of a sudden... people started running. A crowd had shouted, \"Gojira!\" Instantly Jon had made a statment, \"They\'re making a new Godzilla movie?!\" Mina looked in shock as the monsterous footfalls echoed through the city. \"If that\'s not Tsutomu Kitagawa. I\'m afraid to ask what it is...\" A person caught sight of the kids and yelled, \"You pesky kids should hurry out of the way! Gojira is coming!\" Jon, Vince and Matt were puzzled, \"Godzilla?\" Was all they could think of. Then they saw the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. He was 100 meters tall, had silver dorsal spines, charcoal grey scales and a red neck frill common on prehistoric beasts. Rodan had flew just above Godzilla, agitating the giant lizard. Godzilla fired a powerful heat ray, but he missed. Anguirus, rolled up in a giant ball had brought down the giant pteranodon. Varan had landed safely and began its scuffle with Godzilla, Varan leaped at the monster king... but Godzilla sends him flying with a powerful tail lash. Varan crashed into a building and reduced it to rubble, Anguirus charged at Godzilla and successfully attacked him by using his powerful jaws around his neck. Anguirus had taken down Godzilla, but didn\'t realize that Godzilla had a secret weapon... the Nuclear Pulse. Godzilla releases nuclear energy through his skin in a powerful shockwave form, the spiked reptile had been sent flying into Rodan and Varan. Godzilla brought down his aerial adversaries and decided to eliminate them with a powerful shot from his atomic heat ray. But before he could unleash his nuclear blast, a spray of silk had sealed the beast\'s mouth shut. Mothra had layed an egg not too long ago and two larvae had emerged from the mammoth egg. The Mothra Twins had sealed all the monsters in a silk barrier for a little bit of time.

Just as the monsters were trapped, The group had heard voices. They cried, \"Now is your chance to use the power of the Soul Link.\" Mothra\'s priests, the Shobijin had told the group that they could control the monsters... but they needed to build a bond.
Ian was chosen to go with Varan, Matt was chosen Anguirus as a partner, Vincent was given Rodan and Jon had the difficult task of controlling Godzilla, King of the Monsters. The boys had walked up to their guardian beasts and hoped to have established some kind of bond, but they needed to look within themselves. Varan had broken out first, but it had ceased to destroy buildings. Rodan\'s lust for destruction had stopped for Vince, Anguirus had calmed down for Matt... but what of Godzilla? At first things looked tense as Godzilla was about to deploy his breath weapon at Jonathan, but he just stood there unafraid. So instead of destroying him, he let him be and agreed to what his heart was saying. People believe that music soothed the savage beast, well just being kind can work just as well. Jon had walked up to Godzilla and said, \"Wait, wouldn\'t being this close to him kill me?\" The Shobijin said, \"As long as the bond between you and Godzilla are powerful, then his radiation will not destroy you.\" Which also means that those who are close to the Soul Partner shall not be affected by the radiation as well, so if any friend of Jon wanted to ride Godzilla... They wouldn\'t be killed. And as soon as the boys had learned more about their Monsters, they have learned that Godzilla is not a mindless killer, but a protector of nature. Godzilla had to punish humans for their foolish use of nuclear weapons, but this is a different time where a bomb could drop in one country and another monster would have their revenge on humans. Godzilla, Rodan, Anguirus and Varan however have decided to protect the world and humankind with the help of their soul partners.
