-----UPDATE: NOW COLORED!!!-----

I inked this for my son Patrick's fifth birthday in September 2004. This was the third picture I ever inked, and the inexperience shows. However, it's well-liked by my family, and that was sufficient enough for me to post it here, until I have this thing inked by the next Elfwood update.

I did this right after I finished 'Phil at the Gate'. Severe change of pace, anyone? o__O

The super-sized guinea pig, the CavyZilla, is none other than Trumpy, a wonderful, floofy pet we had from 1998 to 2002. He was amazingly strong for a guinea pig, but was easily bullied by other guinea pigs less than half his size. Trumpy was always cuddly and confuzzled. He is missed and fondly remembered.

Poor Trumpy! We've currenly got Marbles the cavy, and she just goes and goes like an Energizer battery.
I like how you've made some roughish ink strokes to indicate Trumpy's fur pattern and direction.
I think it would be cool if you made the colours of the path become more blue as it receeded into the distance; it might add more depth to the artwork. But I love the goofy, hopeful look on the dragon's face, that's neat!

Thanks :) This was the first time I really tried drawing fur. I didn't quite get his coat the way I wanted to (If I could do it again, I'd add some blues and greys in the fur to highlight the white) I think this picture shows I could definitely stand to take some coloring lessons, given the time and the money. I didn't think about the color-fading as it merges into the horizon. I'll definitely do that next time, though :)

Guinea pigs, when they are not eating or sleeping or chewing, are definitely chuntering about non-stop :)
