The title is a tad bit obscure so let me explain. It seems so often our lives are tangled in trivial matters, arguments, and things that end the end just dont matter or shouldnt matter. Yet that does not make them any easier to deal with. This piece was done for several reasons, one as a means to escape some life stress and other work that I should probably be doing instead and secondly for my best friend/sister in the entire world Trish, Nanook123 . Her life of late has been the epitomy of hell, its all the small things that add up to make your life a living inferno of flames. I love you girl and I hope the best for you in these hard times...and ya always know you have me to lean on. Its funny but ever since we became friends almost every cougar reminds me of her....and especially fuzzy little cubbies.

So this one goes to you, I think your life and art has a lot of meaning and beauty. Just keep at it! I suppose that goes for all of us..sometimes we have to remember the simple good things in life to keep us going through the bad.

As for technical details. I wasnt going for true realism persay..just started painting and hoped it would turn out. I enjoyed this piece, was definetly nice R&R for the soul.

I'm surprised there are few comments yet. Beautiful work! You did a great job capturing a realistic feel. It also seems calming and peaceful, one with nature, you know? I would think this deserves to be on the main page as a top fav for a while. :)

BlackPidgeot Says:

Beautiful work! You made it look so very real and convincing. Right now, I can only dream of doing something as marvelous as this. This has to be one of the very best works I've seen from you. Marvelous job!

beckyg Says:

OMG, this is SO beautiful!

Jolon Says:

Sweet jebus. I dont care if you weren't aiming for realism. You still nailed it. I love everything about this, the ears, muzzle, eyes, and the big paws! ahh just like a little cougar would have! usually I'm not a fan of realistic animal paintings when the animals are perfectly centered, but THIS is an exception. (even if it is done ont he computer) Have you painted in acrylics or oils much? I'd love to see some works if you have. I know I dont really upload my traditional stuff, (most of my computer work is crap..its all about painting! ) but thats off topic!

This is an amazing piece, And I love seeing pieces like this having meaning behind them, not just empty realism.

Mikoo Says:

.I love this, the eyes, the fur, the hole style of it. It's just beautiful, and goes great with the title.

Spookerz Says:

Beautifully done, the texture of the fur is marvelous ^^

Scotty10 Says:

Sweet Jesus and holy hell this is f***ing amazing excuse my language but it's how strongly I fell this isbeautiful I cannot begin to think how you've constructed it. Whoa, is all I have to say!

dapple Says:

Balaa, honestly... HOW DO YOU DO IT?!

This question not only involves the insane talent that you have, but how, even in your own troubles, you still have a wonderful and deep love for your freinds and family.

The title perfectly describes this peice. The eyes and pose hold so much emotion, and the realism of the fur just ties it all together. He looks like a big, floofy friend waiting to cuddle^^ I can't describe how much emotion this peice has in it. Brilliant and beautiful work, Balaa.
