This is a late Valentine's Day gift/early anniversary (May 31) gift for my wife, Kathy, and also for our happy-go-lucky son, Patrick. But mainly for Kathy . . . we've been through so much together these past seven years. We've had our ups and downs, our challenges and rifts, but in the end it has made us stronger, glitches, foibles and all.

Sparing the viewers overbearing mushiness and hints at something too steamy for Elfwood . . .

For anyone who may be confused, these are NOT Jak'edrac, Jul'eweisa and offspring, even though they are virtual carbon copies. Jul'eweisa doesn't lay her egg until the fourth or fifth book in my projected novel sequence, by which time the main human characters (Phil and Tracy) are extremely old, and possibly changed (I've yet to flesh that out, as I'm busy finishing the the final draft of the first novel, and outlining the second)

Yes, these are Kathy, Patrick and myself as dragons . . . and I'll leave the miniature 'Doyle Dragon' egg to the imagination . . .

Thanks to the following people for excellent constructive criticism on Elftown: Liiga Smilshkalne, Frederique 'May-Lea' Montouche, Ajder Andrei.

And now, for the compulsory song lyrics . . .

She carries me through days of apathy
She watches over me
She saved my life, in a matter of speaking
When she gave me back the Power to Believe

King Crimson---'The Power to Believe, Part II' (2003)

I luv ya, Kath
(And don't read this, Kath---I plan on deciphering the arcane program known as GIMP---or Photoshop---and making a colorized version of this picture that's not woefully cheesy, by the time May 31 rolls around)
