The second looks a bit too contrasty. I definately like the one on the left though!

i agree with derranged. i like the darker colouring on the 1st cat, and the lighter colouring on the 2nd background
Indeed a little of both. I love the luminosity of the second, but the sharp-ness of the first. IMO, the 2nd's colors and textures look more apealing, but the first has that stability. Maybe make half of him faded and half in non-ghost mode?
Yeah, I agree with Derranged. The left chesire kitteh looks awsome, but the background in the right looks pretty sweet.
the black striped one is better but I like the fadeyness in the second panel. ♥
