I'm just gonna hafta fave this. The awesomey awesomeness of this image is just too great for me to pass on. And me being a stickler for detail, I'm especially loving the gold leaf pattern on the end of that monster of a weapon. Slick! ;3
Question on technique for the background, though. I've seen a whole bunch of those kinda pentagrams whilst image surfing for resource. How big is the original product before you shrunk it down for web viewing and how did you incorporate those pents into the background? Just find some large-scale images, scale them up with big dpi, multiply the layers in photoshop, and just adjust the base colors with the variations tool? Or am I totally off the mark?
