HALFWAY DONE WITH REDUX

there is a very obvious textural difference between true military issue clothing and knock-offs or near-mimics. that's the chemical treatment of the cloth and the weave. i guess you could call the weave rip-stop. it's got to be very close, because i've never found a material that keeps out the wind and weather better than military issue stuff.

the chemical treatment i think repels water a bit. but you can feel it when you pick up a pair of true army pants. of course, my favourite pair WHICH I STILL WANT BACK DAMN CALIFORNIAN THIEVES is so worn down that the chemicals have actually worn off it.
