notes on this...
it's very, VERY uncommon for hekshanians to turn on eachother in a way that could endanger eachother's lives. they've become almost cliquishly paranoid about survival since the massacres. on top of this, they just in general are not supposed to give anyone who's a Rulerist the time of day.
the cultists ratted out kyo (having seen grey with him and holding a grudge) for money to the Rulerists. which is like...the biggest taboo they can possiably make. the cultists are NOT rulerists- they're more a perversion of any semi-pop knowledge religious gibberish. jesus is the prophet of allah who is the son of the goddess and will rule the underworld beside osiris gibberish.
i tried to capture the feeling of panic->nopanic->panic that is in these moments. jet is only panicky because deep down under his stim spazzed exterior he's a very nervous and clingy kid. kyo's panicking because he's already seen these guys gun down his family.
but what shall they do? hohoho i shall make you wait for that. IM SUCH A FUCKER

this is my favorite comic so far
. i like it even more than the one where Grey kicks ass at the shop. the way the information is spread out and shown is wonderful, the epxressions and elevated pace of this one compared to normal comics makes it cool too :p
