Songs of Solomon
Legato di Luna

As much as Solomon hated to admit it, the way that that man looked at him when he and the professor met with a few representatives of Egypt's local labor force had kind of peaked his interest.Sitting next to Dr. Ellington while he interviewed a few lowlifes about escourting the two of them out to a new dig-site in the City of the Dead, Solomon watched as the large man sat at the bar and stole fleeting, heated glances across the smoke-filled room at him.Later, as he blushed wildly at the man's suggestion to meet him at the bar that night, Solomon wondered if he was being rash... If, perhaps he should reconsider what he was doing as he walked down the dark and dusty streets of Cairo with nothing but worry, and the name 'Horatio' bouncing around in his mind...

But later, still, when he sought solace in Horatio's strong arms, Solomon felt a rush of calm wash over him, and his head cleared of all the worry that this whole graduate program had built up in him. It was like a fog of morbid worry had been lifted when Horatio held him close, and kissed his forehead, promised that everything would sort itself out eventually...Solomon wasn't completely there, the next day, at the dig. Dr. Ellington didn't seem to notice, as he was all-together too wrapped up in the tiny piece of pottery he'd unearthed, and that was alright with Solomon. He had another date with Horatio later that evening...
