Once upon a time there was an angsty and very bitc--cynical spirit of death. This bundle of sunshine's name was Abbadon. She abosolutely LOVED Valentine's Day. Why you ask? Well, because today was the day she could be with her beloved alternative spirit of death, Duracias.

Well on this day, our lovely maiden decided that a present of a conventional/novelty meat cleaver in the chest was just not enough to express her undying affection for the red-colored spirit. So she skipped merrily through the street, wreaking havoc and destruction on anything that was as romantic, less than, or more so than the feelings she had for him. Through the carnage Abbadon pleasantly shrieked such words as which to call her love by, such as "motherless child of incestial relations" and "son-of-a-jackel". Right before she horribly incinerated the last surviving spectators who were an audience to her conspicuous declarations of love.

Directly on the opposite of the town of our joyous lady was her very scarlet valentine, Duracias. He paced back and forth in anticipation for his significant other as he incapacitated, maimed and lacerated several random and innocent bystanders. Those said bystanders screamed in gleeful agony as they died painfully. So bad was his nervousness that he inadvertanly stabbed a woman who was clad with a cupid costume, several times, with a rusty butterknife.

Alas, the time of joyous reckoning had arrived, both death crossed lovers glared happy cupid arrows at each other's tasty vital organs. Abaddon made the first move to break the silence, she lifted up her rigor mortis ridden arm and extended the middle digit of her claw in Duracias' direction. Apparently, even today's body language had its charms on the spirit of sorrowful doom. Duracias was beginning to turn red under his mask, and it wasn't from frustration, nay, it was from the LURVE. So he retrived a random organ from the previous trail of carnage he caused and gracefully slung it at the other spirit's head.

The organ flew through the love-filled air and smaked Abbadon in the eye. She was love-striken by this so much that she began to shake uncontrollably, even this narrator doesn't know why she's reacting as such. Perhaps.....she was REJECTED?!! Abaddon doesn't take to such....treatment well so she split the Earth in half and summoned up The Big Evil Dude From The Bad Place Down Below and then attempted to smite sense into her senseless non-boyfriend-ex-boyfriend.

While the armaggedon commenced, sitting a good 300 meters away were Abaddon and Duracias' zombie avatars, Kano and Kain. They sat on the edge of a building's ruins, kicking their feet back and forth and eating the would-be chocolates of the recently deceased (or murdered if you want to be picky). Unlike their spiritual counterparts they actually liked this holiday, they got free candy after all.

THE MORAL: Leave the scrooges of Valentine's Day ALONE and you'll get free candy, if you don't you'll get a lovely meat cleaver in the back.
