The glitch, Ashura. I made him a toxic hedgie, as you could probably tell by the sprites from before. Blah blah.
Took a black bg, and painted over it. Wanted to try a dark shaded pic. I failed.

Glitch from Sonic 2, made Sonic turn green. There were rumours that he existed as an actual character in the game but got cut from it.

He's the supposed glitch in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. There's lots of recreations of him all over the web, by my version sets him as a toxic hedgehog - which would've made sense coming from StH2.

You didn't fail, it's just not what I normally see you capable of doing. But it's still good, I like the idea, and the design, even if I don't care for any Sonic thingies. The lighting on the flames and hedgehog, itself, came out well. I like how well the pink eye stands out. It also blends, colorwise, in well with the surrounding colors. Keep up the nice work.
