I was messin' around in between projects and I thought "What if I aged the "Peanuts" gang and did them in an anime style? I've got more sketches underway but here is what I got to date. I think Charlie would be filled with a lot of angst at this point in his life and maybe I'll give Linus his glasses back. After I started this up a lot of ideas came to mind on what could be done. Later on, I'll finish the shades and highlights.

I like Charlie's design the best. He just fits. Though I'll admit he's prolly angsty, I'm sure his Lutheranism-aquired "suffer in silence and perservere" nature has held on. Cus that's what really makes him...him.

You ever get your hands on the reprints from Fantagraphics? I have the first volume (1950-1954) and can highly recommend.

I loved peanuts.... it was so sad when Schultz died the day before his last comic was published... i still have the newspaper too, the front page proclaiming his death, the comics, his last work of art...
