A bit of the lighter details are hard to see because of the scan.
Here is a self portrait of me in pencil (Obviously) with an actual photo of me to show you what i was observing.
So besides not realising i drew it slanted and the fact that i look like a Europeon Rapist i'd say it doesn't look too bad...the picture i mean...

I think,looking over your other work, that pencil,pen work is your forte. I like this immensely,and I think the slanted look gives it a better natural look,not a copied one. Good job!
