Yeah I'm not kidding, this piece conceptually began in mid-08. It has since been restarted completely twice, and the characters have been modified and changed completely from the original idea.

It's all painted on one working layer, meaning only little temporary/experimental features got a separate layer to the painting. It's almost completely painted with a standard airbrush, with only some leaf brushes used in the trees. No dodge or burn was used. Some level and colour correction was applied at a couple of points due to me getting new computer monitors. Overall, it has been a massive, massive challenge and a fun project to work on.

For Work-In-Progress shots, view the youtube video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY-Wzlw81IU and listen to my music while you watch the transitions every 30 seconds. Please let me know if you find the video an enjoyable addition to this image

Oh and the boys are Thomas and Mill (standing) and Little Norian is the name of the creek they are at. They're near Mill's farm, in the province of Litaia, in North Tasif, in my world of Riiga.

Moonlight Rain Storm Says:

The fact that you did this with a mouse speaks volumes!

This is incredible. I've seen many pieces done with the mouse and some are mind blowing. But this is an absolutely shocking level of talent, here. The patience you had for this is extremely admirable. I can hardly believe that this was made with a mouse. Good work

I love the coloring! Some could object that the subtle sfumato you used on such a bright day could be nonsensical, but it gives the painting an awesome feel mixing modern art with Renaissance. And the details in the vegetation and backgrounds are just astounishing!

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw something of this quality on sheezyart

Tarebear Says:

This is so beautiful I can't even describe the amazing quality of the colors, and textures. GORGEOUS
