Aeren

This is a drawing I made initially in August 2001, and I'm posting it here to show how my skills evolved over time.

Her name's Aeren, pronounced just like the common English name "Erin," and she's an elf, in case the ears and hat aren't a giveaway --- filed here under "human" 'cuz there's no "elf" category . She was to be a lead character for an RPG-style video game idea I had at the time, but it never quite went anywhere. On the other hand, it gave me a chance to practice my art skills, so it wasn't a complete loss.

It's not terribly impressive... but not too bad either. You can see how much more I learned about anime-styled eyes after this; with those eyelashes, she looks like she's wearing a black mask And, of course, I hid her hair under a hat 'cuz I wasn't too sure how to draw it either
