Red Ruffed Baby Lemur

Red Ruffed Baby Lemur. Sketched it yesterday and colored it today. In the process been learning a little about lemurs. Quite interesting little critters really. Their colors are so bizzare. Usually animals underbellies are lighter than their main fur coat color and yet lemurs don't follow this rule. The red ruffed lemurs have a patch of white on the back of their head(not shown in this picture) and at the base of their tale. Their belly, feet, and tails are nearly black as with their faces. The rest is a brilliant red/orange and their eyes an amazing yellow almost like cat eyes. I am getting more and more fascinated with these ancient primates! I have a sketch done for a black and white ruffed Lemur and will be working on that next.

Methinks I am becoming a lemuraholic. I couldn't think of a bg for this one, but no doubt I will start doing bg's for ma little furry lemurs . Still no names for them!
