War To Start All Wars

I went on a WWI battlefield trip around Ypres/Ieper and the Somme over the summer. Ypres is the home to the quite impressive In Flanders Fields Museum, the courtyard of which this statue was. I tried framing it so it didn't really look like it was standing on the pedestal, but I'm not sure it worked very well. I guess one of the things I find saddest about the Great War is that The War To End All Wars only had the opposite effect...
