I was totally listening to the Ocarina of Time OST and it brought me waaay back to the old timey days.
OoT was my first N64 game. I was a wee little 10-year-old at the time, and I was SO freaking scared to go into the Deku Tree for the first time. I didn't want to die! But Link got me to nut up :3
YES I ACTUALLY DID CRY. Ask my poor, confused parents.
Best game ever

Haha, awesome memory! I have a similar one about when I first played Starfox64. I could only ever beat the first level, so I would play it over and over and over again, too afraid to even try the next level. One day I finally did try the next level and I immediately got blown up xD I cried too, but my babysitter helped me beat it and I got better.
Amazing illustrations!
You have rekindled my faith in slide shows!
I love your choice of framing for this - especially the juxtaposition of the close up frames mid-plot.

Aw, dont cry.
How did you ever get through the dungeon under the cemetery with all those Re-deads? I was scared as hell of those guys and I was 16 or something.
Nice story. I hope you animated it sometime.

That was my first N64 agme, too! I was scared to enter the Great Deku Tree, but what REALLY scared me was when I entered the first boss chamber! Queen Gohma... nyuuuuurgh!
Kume Says:
I had no problem with the deki tree but I FREAKED when ghoma first appeared. I stunned it with the slingshot then started unloading all my ammo on it with no rsult.... then I hit it with deku sticks. GAH i hate spiders.

omg i had it when i was young to that hand creature always used to scare the shit out of me, i think its in the well and a couple of other places, the dead hand!!! its like white with a long neck and sloaches toward you then all these crazy hands crab you and it eats your brains, and the wallmasters still scare me......am i the only one that thought it looked like the zombies(re deads) were humping your head?
fjgamer Says:
I still play that game.

I didn't like Twilight Princess as much, but it was like playing OoT2. Sequels are never as good.
Waaurufu Says:
The well in Kakariko gave me that reaction. *shudder* I still hate that place.
